Fostering a Culture of Reading, Literacy & Lifelong Learning
At Ethos International School, our school library is a cornerstone of our academic and cultural life. More than just a room full of books, it is a dynamic, inclusive space that supports language development, reading fluency, and independent learning across all key stages. We believe that cultivating a love of reading is essential for literacy growth, academic progress, and critical thinking skills, and our library is designed to inspire, engage, and support every pupil on that journey.
A Rich & Diverse Collection
Our library offers access to over 14,000 books
- Fiction and non-fiction titles for all age groups
- Reference materials for research and inquiry
- Literary works in English and other world languages
- The complete Oxford Reading Tree (ORT) series for structured reading development
Values
Reading That Grows with Every Learner
We proudly provide a full range of levelled readers to match each pupil’s reading ability and ensure systematic progression.
- Teachers borrow class sets from the library to support guided reading and classroom libraries.
- ORT and supplementary materials are integrated into daily literacy instruction, particularly in the Foundation Stage and Primary School.
This system not only promotes consistency in reading instruction but also makes books easily accessible and part of the daily learning routine.
