I hope our website provides a window into the exciting and dynamic life of our school and you see clearly what makes EIS distinctive. As well as striving for academic excellence, as our name suggests, we place equal importance on Character Education. It is our aim that pupils leave school well qualified and with the skills and mindset to be ethical and responsible global citizens, well prepared for all aspects of their future. A recent review of the school, conducted by a third-party professional organization, described this as “an exceptional feature” and concluded, “values-based education was outstanding”. Our values drive everything we do, particularly our relationships.

Our pupils study the UK National Curriculum leading to IGCSEs and “A” levels. In addition to this and our focus on Character Education, there is a strong emphasis on local language and culture. Learning is not limited to the classroom and all these themes are enriched with a vibrant programme of events and activities. This unique blend creates an exceptional educational experience. We place pupils at the heart of everything we do, priding ourselves on personalised learning and exceptional levels of care, support and guidance.
